I agree, wayyyy to much work. Plus, all these specialty items, just to make something , I can get at the store a lot cheaper, and less time consuming. Martha Stewart may have a specialty store near by, I think most people don't. Some of these videos just don't work for the common American Home bakers. "I think he spent all day making these." "They look burnt, to me. No thanks...

Hell of a job, and even bigger mess. Costco sells a 12 pack for 3 or 4,99....ok, not homemade, but homebought....😃

I make my fritters with a batter made with all purpose flower, eggs, a little vanilla, some milk and apples. I spoon this into the oil. Make them in a minute and everyone loves them. What I will change after looking at this video, is sauteing the apples in a little butter. I think that he mde something simple and exquisite, into something very work intensive.🍎🍎🍎

I enjoy it when a chef takes the extra steps to maximize the flavors. Sometimes the payoff is not there. Will give this a try, always looking for the ultimate. Thanks.

QUIK N EASY! Slice large apples horizontally and pop out core pieces with thumb.
    Dip in thin pancake batter.
    Fry in butter.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

They puff up and become beautiful fritters. Traditional Ukrainian Christmas or Hanukkah breakfast treat, great any time!

I’m making this recipe right now...waiting on first proof! Actually not as hard as it seems. I didn’t get the different flours (super market is closed!) just used my all purpose, and the dough feels great! My first time making a dough, I’m excited to try it!

Just about all of my female friends take a bit of offense to being called "guys". I think Thomas is a real pro, but perhaps he could find a more "suitable" word. And to confer with a lot of the other commenters, my mother made great fritters with nowhere near the amount of steps/work shown here.

I get what some say about the time and effort to make these delicious treats but, you may be missing the point? A recipe requiring time and effort is something you plan for a rainy afternoon or while you on holidays and can enlist the help of kids, or grandkids.
