my school was on lockdown on Friday because of a call in threat to the police saying that someone was gonna shoot up the school. There were 40+ cops at my school, a helicopter, K9s, and many precautions taken place to keep us safe because we are in Broward County, which is where stoneman douglas happened almost a year ago. Now rumors are going around that allegedly a teacher told their students that the person who sent the threat was not the one who actually intended to do it and that they forced someone else to call so they could watch all of it happen. (all of it being the way police and administration handled the situation) so that they could map out are weak points and attack. people are saying that this is connected to how close we are to the one year since stoneman douglas 💔 (February 14th for those of you who dont know) I hate that I have to be so anxious about this and I know I shouldn’t believe the rumors but it scares me shitless. My school has 5000 students god knows what would happen.

All you have to do is grab a chair and stand by the door. When the shooter comes in, whack them right on the noggin, that'll put em down for sure.

I've watched this thing over and over, from beginning to end. Had the cops not been so AFRAID to enter that school, lives could've been saved. They waited and waited and waited, and then treated the kids who were scrambling for their lives like criminals. Really, quite sad.

I'm scared because my boyfriend talks like a school shooter and says he likes no one but me in a serious voice

  • NO ONE! BOSSES! THE GARNET!

Wanna hear something terrifying? These shooters all have fanbases. Not just Eric and Dylan, but other shooters like Adam Lanza, Dylann Roof, and Nikolas Cruz all have fanbases idolizing these people. Seriously, Cruz’s fanbase thinks he is just a misunderstood kid that made a mistake, and that he is quirky and socially awkward, when in reality he is a psychopath with anger issues. He shot 17 PEOPLE and this fangirl said “Like I know he murdered peepz but everyone makes mistakes. I don’t know him and I love him” these fangirls also draw fanart of Lanza and Roof. These other fangirls also made fanfiction of Eric and Dylan hooking up with the mc. No, just no! These are not fictional characters, these are real life perpetrators that took and ruined lives of innocent people. My god, I never knew this society would go THIS far.

My high school had a school shooting last year. Luckily I graduated in 2016 but I still had friends that were seniors so it terrified me, thankfully they were all safe except for my neighbors son god rest his soul. We were a small and nice county in Kentucky with no history of violent acts and now it’s scary knowing this can happen literally anywhere

Eric Harris had deep military connections. His father was an air force transport pilot who had been linked to covert AF intelligence projects going back nearly 20 years. Both were on dangerous mind-control medication. The whole thing reeks of Black Op. QUICK! Hand over your guns!

If this happens and you are trapped in a classroom. Put all the chairs and tables on the door and block the exit. So the shooter cant get in

its important for kids in school, in every grade,  to belong and fit in. It's not hard to identify  the kids who are falling through the cracks. School counselors should take an interest in rescuing those kids, finding a common interest and forming a school club where they BELONG and feel like they are part of the student body. The teachers who spend an hour every day with the kids should be looking for the kids who need help, and I assume teachers are aware and do try to do that.    Personally, in high school I was a popular kid connected in a clique of popular girls.....everyone wanted to hang with us. We had one girl who was a bully, a mean girl, very nasty. I watched her bully many girls, we called it mocking them.   I don't know if there was ever a reason, sometimes it had to do with boyfriends. I never liked the mean stuff, I always felt sorry for the girls being picked on , but I never said or did anything. One girl just relentlessly bullied committed suicide. to this day I feel guilt over that death for having never saying anything to help her when she clearly needed someone.   The schools can do a lot more to help.

In the aftermath of Columbine they began to dig around and scratch around looking for things to blame, so they blame the music, video games, the act of bullying of by students. But i've been to high school, and the fault is with the school system and the teachers themselves. The structure is such that if you are not an academic success, or a sports success, then you are not a positively contributing member to their school. Upper faculty is keenly interested in focusing on and maximizing the output of academics and athletics because the results are quantifiable and reflect well on them in the eyes of the upper school board. In the mean time, the students who maybe are not interested in sports or have trouble academically, whom are often mired in mental health issues, are left to feel worthless and shunned in this sport and grade valuing culture the school actively promotes. The schools constantly celebrate and announce the success of their sports teams, and those who have great academic achievements, which will lead to the people who are involved in those groups feeling superior. The jocks in particular will take a more active verbal and physical role in bullying because they are already very physically involved stronger people who have been formed into natural gangs with their teams. But yet the school system is never at fault, things like video games and music are blamed, while news outlets dig as hard as they can to get a story that the shooters were juvenile delinquents involved in gangs, whom were anti-social and full of anger directed at the world because they had something wrong with them. Not that any of this is an excuse to shoot up a school, but is it really surprising when this extreme case unfortunately occurs?
